I combine years of experience in professional coaching with my doctoral work in Human Development to serve people who wish to make positive changes in their lives. These changes have a ripple effect, subsequently impacting our families, communities, places of work, and the world around us.
People often ask me, what is coaching? My response is usually something like this:
Coaching is a series of structured discussions that create value for the client (or 'clients' if participating in group coaching or a mastermind program). Honestly, I do very little talking, but I ask a LOT of questions! The process is yours – you determine what we will cover, as well as how far or how deeply you’d like to go in terms of your personal transformation. My main purpose is to facilitate meaningful exploration and to catalyze change. I do this by helping you identify and examine limiting beliefs, and also by tapping into your innate internal resources and inner wisdom to expand beyond the edges of your current capabilities.
I will go into greater detail about the coaching relationship during our first meeting. If you are interested in learning more, please click on the link below to schedule a free 20 minute exploratory call.
My journey to coaching and mindfulness began in an unlikely place: the world of biotech! I LOVED working hard, but my job in a fast paced, deadline driven environment filled me with stress and anxiety.
I tried the traditional approaches of therapy and medication for years, but didn’t find relief.
My therapist suggested I try yoga and mindfulness as a supplemental treatment and I was BLOWN AWAY by the positive effects I experienced!!!
These activities brought me a renewed way of thinking and being.
The practices were so transformative, I pursued a PhD to study Human Development and gain a greater understanding about the changes I experienced.
I now use this knowledge to support a healthy lifestyle, while also developing resources that help others along their path to achieving their personalized definition of wellness and success!
Some of my favorite things include spending time with loved ones, exercise, getting out in nature, healthy eating, and traveling. I've worked in the field of biotech for more than 20 years where I held positions in Manufacturing, Quality, and now I am the Director of Talent and Organziational Development. I live in Massachusetts with my husband and my youngest adult son, as well as his girlfriend - who I adore! When my husband and I have free time, we try our best to head out to our happy place - scenic Rangeley, Maine.
I'd love to connect at a more personal level! Please feel free to set up an exploratory call if you;re intersted in working together, and don't forget to check out my socials below!
